Kiya attended the Minneapolis Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute to study massage therapy. She graduated in 2011 and has been a deep tissue specialist ever since. She moved to the PNW in 2018 and is currently licensed in both Oregon and Washington.
While providing relief from stress, headaches/migraines, and neck and shoulder pain have become her bread and butter, she listens to each of her client’s complaints to fully customize each treatment to their needs in order to provide focused work to rejuvenate the muscles. A combination of deep tissue, trigger point, craniosacral, structural integration, cupping, and scraping techniques are utilized to deliver relieving recovery for your body.
Kiya enjoys working on a range of athletes - mountain bikers, hikers, kayakers, runners, skiers, snowboarders, dirt bikers, rock climbers, and more. It doesn’t matter if you’re just getting started or are semi-pro, your body and muscles are getting put through the wringer.
She has provided deep tissue massage at a handful of mountain bike races, motorcycle events, and music festivals. Since she is active in many typical Portland and PNW hobbies, she understands how the body moves and the injuries that commonly occur.
